Beta 51: The Office Is Calling

Gameplay capture inside the glass conference room: a purple corporate presentation, glowing yellow door and meeting countdown.

The night shift has started calling back. Four desk phones can ring, and the message is no longer always just a message.

Beta 51 brings two new office call events to Windows, Linux and macOS. Calls are dealt to different phones each run, independently of their dialogue. Answer one and the whole squad hears the same uneasy corporate announcement. The cover and gameplay stills below were captured in the game; the close views of the two screens come from in-engine review scenes.

A ringing desk is everybody's problem

The four office handsets are spread around the building. Each call can ring for up to three minutes, with a vibrating phone on the HUD and a quiet reminder ring you can hear wherever you are. Get close to the handset and its double bell becomes much louder. The two recorded calls have darker messages from a company that has apparently not noticed the evacuation.

TeamSync: your camera is already on

One call sends you looking for a purple TeamSync invitation. Any of the hundred office desk screens can light up, with a countdown and a ringing chime that every player hears during the search. You have 90 seconds to find and answer the screen.

The first player to join receives a golden perk ticket, shown above the weapon HUD. Spend it at any perk machine to take one unowned perk for free. If nobody answers, half the fuse boxes that are still working break at once.

Mandatory meeting: attendance will be recorded

Another call demands that everyone report to either the upstairs Project Room or the ground-floor glass conference room. You have 60 seconds. The whiteboard or projector carries a presentation that feels a little too pleased to see you, while the room's glass doors glow to show the way in.

Each survivor who arrives in time immediately refills all their carried guns. There is also a chance of company credit or commission. Once every living player is inside, the remaining countdown falls to ten seconds if it was longer. The doors begin closing half a second later, zombies outside spread away from the room, and any already inside keep fighting. Once you enter, you cannot leave until the event ends.

Miss the meeting and one of your guns loses its loaded and reserve ammunition. If you have no gun, there is nothing to empty. The room opens again when the countdown ends.

Small things you can see and hear

The phones now look like heavier, dark office landlines. Looking at an interactable object traces its actual silhouette with a thin orange outline, while the interaction prompt has softer, translucent rounded edges. Meeting rewards play their pickup sounds, and a found TeamSync call announces its perk ticket.
